2 Corinthians 2:14-16: “But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us into triumph, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere. “For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. “To one a fragrance from death to death; to the other a fragrance from life to life.” A fragrance from “death to death” simply means that, Testifying Christians are the smell of death to those who are perishing, not because the gospel message has become evil-smelling or death-dealing, but because in rejecting the life-giving grace of God, unbelievers choose death for themselves. To those who welcome the gospel of God’s grace, Christians with their testimony are the fragrance of life. NIV |
